Is macOS install the same on Intel and M-series MacBooks?
No. Intel uses Command-R / Internet Recovery. Apple Silicon needs a full shutdown, then hold the power button until Startup Options. We identify the chip before choosing the path.
Will a fresh OS install delete my files?
A repair-install can keep your home folder. Erasing Macintosh HD first is a clean install and removes local files. You approve erase vs keep-data before we continue.
How long does a MacBook OS install take?
Often same-day when the disk is healthy and Recovery works. Downloads, DFU restores, or board issues take longer — we quote after the first bench check.
When is OS install the wrong fix?
